Dr. Christopher Bounds serves as the Director of the Advanced Composites Institute, parent institute of the Marvin B. Dow Stitched Composites Development Center. He received a BS in Chemistry from The University of Southern Mississippi and earned a PhD in Polymer Chemistry and an MBA from Louisiana State University. Dr. Bounds has over 16 years of technical, commercial, and leadership experience ranging from academic institutions to global technology organizations. His experience bridges multiple facets of technology, innovation, and business development from front-end marketing to bench-scale research, pilot-scale development, and ultimate commercialization of cutting-edge technologies. Dr. Bounds has humbly directed academic teams at multiple universities and has served as a leader of prominent technical and commercial teams in the industry. Dr. Bounds specializes in high-utility research and development based on qualified, prioritized, and quantified market satisfaction gaps.
